The annual Workshop Conference "SMART-filling stations: efficiency, innovation, state-of-the-art service" will take place on March 13, 2020. The Conference is organized by National Oil & Gas Forum.

The retail segment of the domestic fuel market is going through intense changes nowadays. Faced by alternative fuel segment gaining momentum and the challenge of fuel surplus in the internal market in Russia, independent filling stations and VIOCs are forced to update their customer offerings because the traditional model of operating filling stations proves to become progressively less viable. Today market participants have to be prompt at finding new marketing ideas in order to increase the profitability of retail fuel business.

The main task of the Workshop Conference is to unlock adequate solutions in the context of widening the assortment of related customer services and integrating new technologies while also providing high-end service and making this business more profitable. Key topics include: pricing analysis and retail prices regulation framework; fuel supply and demand volumes in the internal and global markets; development of roadside infrastructure standards; digitization of filling stations; transformation of personnel training methods and innovative approaches to hiring and training; evaluating the efficiency of establishing  partnerships with retail stores, as well as key tendencies in management of fuel and non-fuel business at filling stations, including individualized offers for retail customers, blockchain operations and digital-technologies.
