Argentina: New player to enter the gas station market in La Pampa
Fuel brand Voy con Energía has announced an ambitious plan to open up to 100 gas stations across Argentina’s La Pampa.
With the intention of becoming a ‘low cost’ retailer – a Spanish term that describes operators with low prices – Voy con Energía has set out a plan to invest $15 million over a two year period to develop a large network of gas stations in the Argentinian region.
The brand is owned by oil company Kalpa Group, which opened a new refinery in the central region in May 2017 with an investment of 439 million pesos.
“Voy” opened its first site last year in Junin and has been using it to test the brand, convenience store, discounts and loyalty plans. The company wants to compete with other OMCs by offering lower fuel prices.
