After announcing the plan in 2017, El Corte Inglés and Repsol had 152 convenience stores in operation by the end of 2018.

The Spanish oil company and grocery distributor could open up to 200 new stores in 2019, according to Europa Press.

With the target of having a network of 350 Supercor Stop&Go convenience stores at Repsol gas stations by 2020, the two Spanish companies will speed up the roll out process.

In 2017, Repsol and El Corte Inglés signed an agreement giving the Spanish oil company exclusive control over the Supercor Stop&Go convenience store brand. A year later they announced an ambitious expansion plan to open 1,000 stores across Repsol’s 3,400 petrol stations.

The deal also made El Corte Inglés the main distributor for Repsol service stations, giving the fuel retailer access to 35,000 food and beverage products as well as 60,000 other goods.
