Gail Gas currently operates eight CNG stations and twelve more will be opened within a month, the company confirmed in a press statement. The CNG stations will serve both light and heavy duty vehicles and will be operational round-the-clock.

The strengthening of the CNG network will improve the eco-friendly mobility network in the densely populated area of Bengaluru. The company has also teamed up with major oil marketing companies BPCL, IOCL and HPCL to offer CNG from their retail sites in the city, informed The Hindu Business Line.

The company plans to open another 25 CNG stations in the new financial year, which would raise its CNG network to over 50 stations in Bengaluru.

GAIL Gas has also signed a collaboration agreement with Uber to promote the usage of CNG in Bengaluru.
