The CEO of recently acquired GB3 will also become the EG Group’s Chief Information Officer (CIO).

EG Group announce the acquisition of GB3, a provider of information technology (IT) solutions based in Preston, United Kingdom.

In parallel, Graham Billsborough, Founder and CEO of GB3 has been appointed EG Group’s Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Graham has a background in technology leadership roles and, having worked in AstraZeneca, EDS and Enterprise plc, brings a wealth of large-scale IT strategy, delivery and acquisition experience. Most recently Graham founded and led the rapid expansion of GB3 Limited, a technology solutions company, delivering to organisations throughout the UK, Europe and USA.

“The GB3 transaction represents an important building block as we create one of the world’s leading independent forecourt retail convenience businesses,” said Mohsin Issa, Co-CEO, EG Group.

Founded in 2001 by the Issa Family, United Kingdom based EG Group is a leading petrol forecourt retail convenience operator who has established partnerships with global brands such as ESSO, BP, Shell, Carrefour, Louise Delhaize, SPAR, Starbucks, Burger King, KFC, Greggs and Subway.

“The combination aligns our expertise in technology management with their leadership in the forecourt retail convenience sector,” said Graham Billsborough.

The EG Group currently employs over 30,000 colleagues working in circa 5,200 sites.
