A total of 38,684 new electric cars have found their way onto Norway since the beginning of this year, informs Electrive.com. Germany, for instance, has recorded 37,022 new registrations for purely EV cars in the first same time frame.

The registration of EVs, however, declined in the country compared to June this year. The reason for the significant decline is due to the intermittent deliveries by Tesla - 3,760 of the 7,428 new registrations were made by the Tesla in June this year. Tesla only registered 492 new electricity generators in July.

Theres also been 2,285 new passenger cars with hybrid drive, corresponding to a market share of 24.9% of new registrations. Hybrid registrations included 943 plug-in hybrids. In July, 62.9% all newly registered passenger cars in Norway were equipped with an electric or hybrid drive.
