The authorities of the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) have recently released permits for the operation of service stations in southern Tamaulipas, according to Garel Group director and former national president of Onexpo, Jose Angel Garcia Elizondo.

"The permits that are detonating these investments in the energy sector are being released little by little," he explained.

Elizondo announced that this weekend began operations a Mobil gas station in the port of Altamira, completed in December 2018 at a cost of $35 million pesos. The number will increase in the coming months with the opening of more stations in Ciudad Victoria.

"There are some stations that are receiving permits, so they are being incorporated into the economy," Elizondo added.

Elizondo has announced that the plan for 2019 was to have 11 operating gas stations, of which 10 are already operating. Given the positive development, the target has been increased to 15 gas stations by the end of the year.
