Petrol stations in Spain and Portugal to earn €38 billion this year

In December 2018, 13,878 service stations were operating in the Iberian market as a whole, around 150 more than at the end of the previous year.

According to INFORMA's DBK Sector Observatory, by the end of 2019 the rate of growth in the value of service station sales in Spain and Portugal is expected to slow down, after the increases of 9.9% and 10.2% recorded in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

Turnover in Spain could reach €31.3 billion, compared to €29.9 billion in 2018, while in the Portuguese market a figure of slightly more than €7 billion is forecast.

At the end of 2018, 13,878 service stations were operating in the Iberian market as a whole, 1.1% more than in 2017.
