English Español KMG International will expand its presence in the Balkans

The Kazakhstani company continues to expand its presence across the retailing segment in Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria.

The foreign subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG International) will expand its network of petrol stations in the Balkans, reports New Europe.

“We plan to increase the market share in the retail segment from 16% to 25% in Romania; from 3% to 15% in Bulgaria; and from 23% to 25% in Moldova,” the company’s Director for International Projects Azamat Zhangulov told reporters during a press tour in Romania.

Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company KazMunaygas has invested approximately $1 billion into Romania’s Petromidia refiner from 2007 to 2012, according to Zhannat Tussupbekov, the CEO KMG International.

KMG International has nearly 1,000 sites in Romania and around 70 in Moldova.
