Hungarian oil company MOL has opened a fuel depot in Sremski Karlovci, northern Serbia, to store and process its fuel supplies.

“The MOL depot in Sremski Karlovci is the largest investment the company has done in the 15 years present in Serbia,” said the ambassador for Hungary Atila Pinter. “Serbia is our most important partner among Western countries; Hungarian investments now exceed half a billion euros.”

The terminal is equipped with a biological wastewater treatment plant and an oil separator. The tanks have cooling systems and the technology to reduce evaporation, reports RTV.

The facility, with a high degree of automation, will make the operations of MOL in Serbia more safe and efficient, said Ante Aralica, CEO of MOL.

MOL currently operates some 62 gas stations in Serbia.
