Rompetrol Downstream, the retail division of the KMG International Group in Romania, opened a new fuel station in Craiova city, Dolj county. The site follows a $1.5 million (1.36 million euro) investment and will employ 15 workers, Rompetrol said in a press release.

"The new gas station, the 11th opened this year, is part of the company’s strategy for the expansion of the retail network at the national level and the consolidation of its presence in key areas," Rompetrom Downstream general director Serghei Sevcenco said.

In August, Rompetrol Downstream operated 950 fuel points, 70 more than a year earlier.

The company also has a depot in Almaj, 20 km from Craiova, several Rompetrol cylinder distribution points and 17 LPG stations. It also operates six fuel deposits in Arad, Craiova, Mogosoaia, Simleul Silvaniei, Vatra Dornei and Zarnesti as well as three bottling stations for liquefied petroleum gas in Bacau, Arad and Pantelimon.
