USA: True Blue Car Wash expands locations in Arizona

True Blue increased its portfolio with the strategic acquisiton of six locations from Clean Freak Car Wash.

True Blue Car Wash LLC has announced the successful acquisition of six additional Clean Freak Car Wash locations in Arizona, according to a press release. The number of carwash units now owned by the company is 34.

With this purchase closed in mid-October, True Blue expanded its Arizona footprint to 12 individual express carwash sites, located strategically across the Valley of the Sun metro area. Subsequent acquisitions of the remaining Clean Freak units are being contemplated over the next two years, the release noted.

Stu Crum, CEO of True Blue, expressed excitement for the deal and looks forward to acquiring the remaining Clean Freak locations over the next 24 months, Hired in February, Crum has placed True Blue on a rapid growth trajectory; he anticipates additional closings will be announced in Q1 2020, the release added.

All True Blue-owned facilities in Arizona will retain the Clean Freak brand name, the release concluded.

In addition to its growing presence in Arizona, True Blue currently owns and operates express carwashes as well as several full-serve washes in the states of Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

True Blue began its acquisition foray into the carwash industry 3.5 years ago with the initial purchase of five Clean Freak stores in Phoenix, including the company’s flagship location at airport nexus 44th St. and McDowell.
