English Español Vivo Energy Mauritius opens its 49th gas station

As part of its network expansion strategy, Vivo Energy Mauritius, owner of the Shell franchise, opened the 49th Shell gas station on the island on November 15.

The new service station brings to three the number of refuelling stops now available to motorists on the SSR-Pont Fer airport section alone. The Shell network now represents more than a third of stations in this segment of the motorway.

"Our significant investments in the service station network are being made in line with road and urban developments. They continue to play a significant role in spatial planning and, therefore, in the development of the island, providing daily comfort for motorists, opening up certain parts of the island and enhancing the value of certain lands," says Matthias de Larminat, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Mauritius.

Vivo Energy Mauritius sees the future of stations as local service hubs, allowing users to save valuable minutes lost in supermarket queues and traffic jams. This vision is reflected in an increase in the number of fast food, mini-market and boutique services offered at service stations. Many of them have become real "one stop shops" for the car, offering fast mechanical, pneumatic and washing services.
