Vivo Energy Botswana commissions mobile fuel testing laboratory
The mobile fuel-testing lab is aimed at augmenting our product quality and quantity assurance processes.
Vivo Energy Botswana, the company that markets and distributes Shell fuels and lubricants, launched a mobile fuel-testing laboratory: a first of its kind by a non-governmental organisation in the country. The mobile fuel-testing lab is aimed at augmenting our product quality and quantity assurance processes that are already in place.
“The launch of the mobile fuel testing laboratory provides an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to providing quality fuels to our customers in a visible manner,” said the company in a release.
The mobile fuel testing lab will be collecting samples from Shell service stations and commercial customer sites, and will conduct quality tests on the site. In the event of the need for further testing, the mobile lab will safely transport samples to the main laboratory at the depot for further analysis.
“To ensure that Shell’s high quality fuels and lubricants reach the end-user at the exact quality levels they should, Vivo Energy has in place elaborate quality control processes along its entire supply chain. This ensures that we consistently deliver on our customer promise with regard to the unique benefits Shell fuels and lubricants offer,” said Vivo Energy Botswana’s Managing Director, Wayne Kingwill.
Besides the laboratories at the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, ours is currently the only fuel-testing laboratory in Botswana.
