English Español Spain: Repsol opened 352 Supercor Stop&Go stores in 2019

The partnership between Repsol and El Corte Ingles to boost the convenience proposition at petrol stations continues to grow.

Last update:

Repsol finished 2019 with 352 Supercor Stop&Go convenience stores under its belt. The Spanish oil company continued to strengthen its partnership with El Corte Inglés. The goal is to reach 500 sites in 2020, which would make it one of the biggest franchises in Spain.

El Corte Inglés now also acts as Repsol’s largest supplier for food and beverage products, giving Spain’s leading fuel retailer access to over 95,000 products, reports El Economista.

In 2019, Repsol opened almost one Supercor Stot&Go a day as it continues to set a focus on non-fuel products. The strategic partnership between the two retailing giants has the opening of 1,000 convenience stores as one of its goals.

Repsol also increased the number of Amazon lockers by 40% during last year. Other key partnerships that the Spanish gas station chain has developed include Disney, Nesspresso and Starbucks as it looks for new ways to increase profits across its more than 3,000 sites.
