English Español Spain: HAM Group acquires FNX Liquid Natural Gas

FNX Liquid Natural Gas is a leader in small-scale natural gas liquefaction.

Last update:

Grupo HAM has acquired the Basque company FNX Liquid Natural Gas S.L., a company focused on the design, manufacture and installation of small-scale natural gas liquefaction plants, which also include equipment for the processing-treatment of natural gas from wells and other sources.

Unlike most other LNG equipment suppliers, FNX has its own manufacturing facilities located in northern Spain. Its engineering team is located at the manufacturing facilities and provides field services - installation, commissioning and technical support - related to its product lines to meet its customers' needs.

With the incorporation of FNX Liquid Natural Gas S.L., Grupo HAM pushes its expansion plan in South America, where they are already present through subsidiaries HAM Peru and HAM Chile.

“We will be able to offer our customers, through liquefaction, a solution for storing and transporting liquefied natural gas. Liquefaction makes it possible to reduce the volume of natural gas by more than 600 times, facilitating its storage and transport in cryogenic tanks,” according to HAM Group.

HAM has developed LNG and CNG stations in Spain, Peru and Chile and continues to open new sites year on year.
