English Español Valero Energy opens its first gas station in Mexico

The company plans to open 15 more service stations in the first quarter of this 2020, and 30 in Jalisco throughout the year.

The fuel refinery company Valero Energy Corporation Mexico opened its first service station in Guadalajara, reported different Mexican media. The station will operate as a franchise and will offer imported gasoline and diesel.

The company has the network of storage, transportation, supply and marketing of fuel needed to develop a network of refueling stations in Mexico City, Chihuahua, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, Puebla and Veracruz, said the Director of Valero Mexico, Carlos Garcia.

Valero Energy has been operating in Mexico for three years. During this time it has signed agreements with Mexplus and IEnova to import refined products at its terminal located in Veracruz. In 2019, Valero Energy signed an agreement with Grupo Mexico for the construction of storage centers in Nuevo Leon and Jalisco, active from 2021, with the aim of increasing its inventory by 50%, as well as to control the logistics network and ensure the supply of fuel.

Valero Energy Corporation has presence in Canada, United States, Ireland, Peru, United Kingdom and Mexico.
