English Español ADNOC Distribution outlines ambitious expansion plan

The Abu Dhabi-based retailer will invest a record $300 million in the opening of at least 60 new sites.

Last update:

ADNOC Distribution has announced plans to more than double capital expenditure this year to open a minimum of 60 new gas stations in the United Arab Emirates.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. for Distribution will spend between Dhs1.1bn ($300m) and Dhs1.5bn to fund an “ambitious new station delivery schedule” for 2020, the company said on Wednesday. That would double the capital expenditure (Dhs508mn) of 2019.

In the new expansion plan Dubai will be one of the main focus points. ADNOC already dominates the Abu Dhabi market while most sites in Dubai are part of the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) network.

Another territory outside Abu Dhabi that can see new ADNOC stations opening is Saudi Arabia, where it currently has two sites.
