Poland: Carrefour opens 10 convenience stores since start of 2020

The Polish convenience stores segment is rapidly growing as busy customers demand fast shopping and find high quality products.

Carrefour continues to expand its chain of convenience stores in Poland. The chain started 2020 by opening 4 franchise stores in the capital city in one day.

Since the beginning of the year, Carrefour has already opened 10 franchise stores and plans new openings.

“Under the name of Carrefour, there are already more than 650 shops in Poland operated by our franchisees in three different formats. In 2019, we opened over 100 new shops all over the country,” says Michał Florkiewicz, Carrefour Convenience Store Director for Poland.

At the end of 2018 Carrefour also offered a new format on the Polish market, a Carrefour Express tailored for petrol stations. The concept, which offers the possibility of opening 24/7, has become increasingly popular.
