English Español SOCAR opens its 31 fuel station in Azerbaijan

The company opened its first fuel station in Azerbaijan in May 2010 and continues to expand its network.

SOCAR Petroleum CJSC, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, is expanding its network of filling stations throughout Azerbaijan with the commission of its 31st fuel station, report local media. The new site will be located in the village of Boluslu, Goranboy district.

With four fuel dispenses of Premium Euro-95 and A-92 and diesel fuel, the station will be able to refill four cars and two heavy-duty vehicles at the same time.

The 30th petrol station commissioned by SOCAR Petroleum, was opened in the village of Chaigaragoyunli, Sheki district, in November last year.

SOCAR Petroleum was born in January 2008, and is the only producer of oil products in Azerbaijan. The company is engaged in the retail fuel business through its network of filling stations under the SOCAR brand.

SOCAR is currently among the world's 50 largest oil companies, with more than 370 filling stations operating in Switzerland, Georgia, Romania and Ukraine.
