English Español Germany: Liqvis opens new LNG filling station in Kassel

Another seven Liqvis LNG filling stations are under construction or being planned.

Last update:

Liqvis has opened a new LNG filling station for trucks in the central German city of Kassel. The site will replace a mobile station that will now be transferred to North Rhine-Westphalia in order to meet rising demand.

This is second LNG station builds in Germany and it will be able to refuel two trucks at a time. In addition to the two stations Kassel and Grünheide near Berlin, Liqvis is planning seven other projects in the coming months

"Thanks in no small part to the toll exemption in Germany, LNG has established itself as a fuel on the market over the last three years, which can be seen in the large increase in revenue at our filling stations over the past year,” said Silvano Calcagno, Managing Director of Liqvis GmbH.

Liqvis, based in Essen, Germany, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Uniper, Düsseldorf, and is developing a demand-oriented infrastructure for LNG in heavy trucks.
