The new road service facility is built to meet the present and future requirements, it is centrally located along the new E18 in Telemark. With its area of 36.000 m2, it is the largest in the country.

“It is a great pleasure to be able to join and open the world's most modern road service facility and 24-hour rest area. As Minister of Transport, there are two issues that are particularly important to me, and that is traffic safety and climate and the environment. This facility meets both. More truck stops are the best traffic safety we can get, while good EV charging options are climate friendly and good for the environment,” said Knut Arild Hareide.

The station will be an important hub for the locals in Bamble, and a long-awaited stopover with rest opportunities for professional drivers along the E18 between Oslo and Kristiansand.
