Romania: foodpanda delivers VIVA products from OMV filling stations

The partnership currently covers 47 OMV filling stations in 10 cities.

OMV Petrom, the largest energy company in Southeastern Europe, and foodpanda, the largest food-ordering online platform in Romania, entered a partnership through which VIVA products from OMV filling stations can be ordered through the foodpanda delivery service.

Currently, the service is available in 10 cities: Cluj, Iasi, Timisoara, Brasov, Constanta, Bucuresti, Targu-Mures, Ploiesti, Galati and Sibiu. Over 130 products from the shop and the gastro area, from sandwiches and salads, pastry, sweets and snacks to beverages and electronic accessories, are available for delivery.

The customers can order VIVA Shop & Gastro products in the foodpanda app and the orders are sent to the selected OMV station. The orders are processed in OMV stations and handed over to foodpanda couriers in the shortest time.

“We wanted to bring the coffee and sandwich break from Viva to the office or at home, with the same quality products, in a short amount of time. We are now adding more filling stations to the project and we are launching the commitment to online deliveries of VIVA Shop & Gastro in nine more cities,” said retail manager OMV Petrom, George Daniel Ion.

“Based on the results recorded in the pilot phase, from the beginning of summer in Cluj, we wish to offer our customers from other nine big cities more alternative products for fast delivery.", said Andreea Petrișor, Managing Director foodpanda Romania.

OMV Petrom is the largest energy company in South-Eastern Europe. The company is present on the oil products retail market in Romania and neighboring countries through 802 filling stations, at the end of June 2020, under two brands – OMV and Petrom.

Foodpanda is the largest food ordering platform in Romania, currently collaborating with more than 4100 restaurants.
