English Español New Primagaz gas filling station at French port

Avia and Primagaz entirely revamped an existing Axegaz station in the Port of Le Havre. The new CNG/LNG location is Primagaz’s eighth gas filling station in France.

Last update:

Primagaz is launching its eighth gas filling station in France with the opening of a new LNG/CNG site in the Port of Le Havre. Located in Gonfreville-l'Orcher, at the heart of the industrial-port area, the new station was originally operated by Axegaz.

Avia and Primagaz entirely revamped the existing location, which now features two islands and three fuelling tracks. The renovation was partly financed by the European Union as part of the LNGMotion programme, in which Primagaz is a stakeholder.

The new location is equipped with an 80 m3 LNG tank, two LNG distributors and two CNG distributors equipped with NGV1 and NGV2 connectors. Accessible 24 hours a day, it has a payment terminal compatible with most transport cards.

The Gonfreville-l'Orcher new station is strategic for the development of gas mobility within the industrial and port zone of Le Havre, which is home to 500 companies. Twelve to 15,000 heavy goods vehicles circulate there every day and carry part of the 70 million tonnes of goods that pass through the port annually.

"This opening reinforces our ambition to provide our transport customers with equipment serving one of the largest European and French ports. Such infrastructures make it possible to significantly reduce the carbon impact of road transport," explains François Brunero, Director of Mobility at Primagaz.
