Entities aim to boost electric mobility in the country through the installation of EV charging infrastructure at Cooperative Credit Banks facilities.

Last update:

Enel X, Enel Group’s business line dedicated to innovative products and digital solutions, and BCC Energia, the Consortium of Cooperative Credit Banks that supports member banks in energy services, have signed a framework agreement for the implementation of electric vehicle charging solutions at Cooperative Credit Banks facilities.

With this partnership, Enel and BBC Energia aim to boost electric mobility in Italian cities, urban areas, small towns and inland areas through the widespread coverage of Cooperative Credit Banks.

The agreement involves the supply of materials and services for the installation, management and maintenance of EV charging infrastructures at the headquarters and branches of Cooperative Credit Banks.

“Promoting the diffusion of electric vehicle charging stations at BCC banks confirms the attention paid by these banks to their local areas, with the objective of actively supporting the transition towards green energy and promoting sustainable lifestyles,” said the President of BCC Energia and Federcasse (the national federation of Cooperative Credit Banks), Augusto dell’Erba.

Enel X operates over 10,500 charging stations installed throughout Italy, with the goal of reaching a total of 28,000 by 2022.
