Shell starts delivering products at home in Germany

A station in Hamburg is the first to start their home-delivery service for fuels and convenience products with Lieferando.

The Shell station on Winterhuder Weg in Hamburg is the first in Germany to roll out a home-delivery service with Lieferando.

Customers of Shell Deutschland Oil will now be able to have their fuel and convenience products delivered at their home. The service will be expanded to other sites if the demand is high.

“Customers want to be able to buy high quality products easily and conveniently. This applies to fuels and lubricants as well as beverages and snacks. The boom in delivery services has given us the idea that we too would like to offer customers the opportunity to order products from their petrol station around the corner and have them delivered to their homes," says Jan Toschka, head of Shell's petrol station business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The range of products offered includes packaged snacks, such as various confectionery and salty snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, selected hygiene products, rolls and sweet and salty baked goods from the Shell deli2go bakery.
