Gas Networks Ireland and Circle K jointly launched Ireland’s second publicly accessible fast-fill CNG station. Located at Circle K’s forecourt in Cashel, off the M8 (Dublin – Cork) motorway, the station has the capacity to fill 50 heavy good vehicles (HGVs) a day.

Latest CNG station at Circle K Cashel further strengthens Circle K’s natural gas capabilities alongside the company’s Dublin Port CNG station.

Circle K is planning to introduce more CNG stations on Ireland’s key transport routes. The company is well advanced on the development of two such stations, one in Limerick and one on Dublin, with more to come, according to Senior Director Fuels at Circle K, Jonathan Diver.

"We are extremely committed to working towards a low carbon future for Ireland and in addition to advancements from a CNG perspective, we will continue developing our electric vehicle charging capacity as well as looking at ways in which to make our fuel products more environmentally friendly,” said Diver in a company’s press release.

Circle K is Ireland’s leading forecourt and convenience retailer with 410 sites across the island of Ireland.
