Co-op has partnered with home delivery specialists, Zoom 1Hr Delivery, to further expand the roll-out of its own online shop across Wales and Welsh/English border towns and, to increase the number of delivery slots available for shoppers.

The retailer will ramp-up its online home delivery offer – including smaller towns and rural communities - with the new partnership going live in more than 50 towns and cities in Wales and along the Welsh/English border in November. The move makes thousands more online slots available for shoppers, and includes approaching 40 Co-op stores in Wales.

Orders are placed through Co-op’s own online shop with items picked from Co-op’s local stores and delivered on behalf of Co-op by Zoom up to 4km within one hour.

Co-op’s partnership with Zoom has also rolled-out to towns in England, with an ambition to reach 250 stores during 2021.

The convenience retailer launched its own online shop in March last year and accelerated its implementation this year as demand for online convenience grew. The Co-op is on track to offer online shopping from more than 700 stores UK-wide by the end of the year through its own online shop and with partners.
