English Español UK: MFG acquire seven petrol stations

Top 50 Indies forecourt operator, Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has signed an agreement to purchase seven operational stations and nine new to industry (NTI) sites from BP.

Last update:

Six of the operating stations are in Scotland and one is located in Surrey. The acquisition is part of a wider agreement including fuel supply for 100 sites.

“It is a great opportunity for us to apply our proven operating model, improve the shop offering for our customers, introduce a ‘food to go’ option where appropriate and improve the valeting offer,” said Jeremy Clarke, chief operating officer at MFG.

MFG will also be looking to install a number of high power EV chargers at each location.

“The re-sign of 64 existing BP branded sites and the conversion of 36 others brings the total number of BP branded MFG sites to over 280 and we look forward to working with MFG on this and other opportunities in the future,” said Andy Allen, BP’s UK sales manager.

This acquisition will bring the total number of stations operated by MFG to 918, maintaining their position as the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator.
