Gasum’s Nordic gas filling station network for heavy-duty vehicles continues to expand in Norway with the commissioning of a new location in the Trondheim area. The new site will supply both liquified (LNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) for trucks, according to a company’s press release.

Gasum’s northernmost gas filling station in Norway will open in early August in Heggstadmoen, some 12 km to the south of Trondheim. The area is a heavy traffic hub, integrating Gasum’s liquified gas filling station network in the Oslo region with stations such as Östersund and Umeå in the northern parts of Sweden.

The Heggstadmoen station will serve both the many logistics actors in the area and the long-haul transports operating on the route between Trondheim and Oslo. The station will be open to all actors wishing to fill up with biogas.

The project is a cooperation between Gasum and cooperative retail chain Coop.
