Last update:

Endesa X and Andamur have opened their first ultra-rapid EV charging hub with a total capacity of 1.4 MW. Located at the La Junquera area of service, the station was built in an important traffic junction and one of the main access routes to Spain and the rest of Europe. Drivers will be able to recharge between 3 and 10 minutes the battery needed to travel a total of 100 kilometers, depending on the power and charge percentage of the electric vehicle.

"This installation in La Junquera is a clear example of how we adapt our deployment to the needs of each location and we are delighted with the collaboration we have with Andamur in this regard," said Manuel Muñoz, Director of Endesa X's Public Access Infrastructure Plan.

The new hub is located near the Andamur’s area of service in La Junquera, very close to the frontier with France, and will allow to recharge up to eight vehicles simultaneously thanks to its four ultra-rapid 350 kW stations. Each one of them has two connectors with the European CCS Combo charging standard.

For the inauguration of the hub both companies held a ceremony which was attended by the Deputy Mayor of La Junquera, Rafael Medinilla; the General Manager of Endesa in Catalonia, Isabel Buesa; Miguel Ángel López, CEO of Andamur and Muñoz. This new recharging space is the third one that Endesa X installs in the Andamur service stations, out of a total of five planned for the moment.
