AVIA VOLT and Brink XL have completed the first phase of construction for the largest public truck charging plaza in the Netherlands.

Located at Bleek 8 in Enter, the site will continue its construction to expand its already available charging capabilities, which allow simultaneous charging for six trucks with a maximum power of 400 kW. Currently, the space is still used as a parking lot for staff of the transport company.

This cooperation has been years in the making, as AVIA Weghorst, of which VOLT is a part of, has been supplying Brink XL with fuels for years.

"We are dividing the construction of the charging plaza into two phases. The second phase focuses on higher charging speeds, expansion to a maximum of 10 charging points and integration with in-house storage and generation of energy. The smart control of energy flows will play a central role in this," explained Bart Leussink, Director of AVIA Weghorst.

The charging plaza will use a charging solution developed by the Finnish company Kempower, of which AVIA is a long-time partner. This system allows the available power to be dynamically distributed among the different vehicles being charged.
