Romania: OMV Petrom will set up 10 new mobile gas stations

OMV Petrom, a Romanian oil and gas retailer, will build 10 mobile gas stations across various Romanian highways by the end of the year.

Last update:

The filling stations will be located in the A1 and A3 highways, and they will have 3 pumps, including a fast-speed pump to supply heavy-duty vehicles. According to the company, each station will be able to supply fuel to an estimated 1,500 cars per day, reports Romania Insider.

The mobile gas station concept was introduced in Romania in 2006 by Rompetrol with their ‘Rompetrol Express’ programme.

Upstream and downstream giant OMV currently operates around 4,100 filling stations in 11 countries. Last week they signed an agreement with Gazprom to work on new joint long-term business projects, including the construction of two new gas pipelines.
