Morrisons launches new c-store trial at gas stations
After undergoing huge cuts due to bad results and selling the M Local chain, Morrisons is making a comeback to retail with the trial of Morrisons Daily.
Only three months after selling its major business, M Local, supermarket chain Morrisons has opened a convenience store called Morrisons Daily at a gas stations in Crewe, United Kingdom, and will open four more stores as part of the program.
The new c-store will serve fresh and chilled food, as well as normal groceries, and will open 24-hours a day.
The five stores, as PetrolPlaza reported, will be opened in partnerships with Motor Fuel Group, which operates 373 gas stations across the country.
Morrisons launches this new trial only months after selling the M Local shops to Greybull Capital for £50 million ($75m).
