UAE: ADNOC starts self-service programme in Abu Dhabi

ADNOC's new pilot phase of smart self-refueling service has kicked-off in Abu Dhabi with plans to reach 180 service stations by the end of the year, reported Khaleej Times.

Last update:

The new program has been rolled out at four service stations in the Emirate state of Abu Dhabi. Over 10,000 motorists have joined the ADNOC Distribution smart self-refueling programme since last month.

Introducing self-service fuelling in Abu Dhabi, the new service will allow customers to reduce their stop times by using smart tag, Adnoc Plus cards, Emirates ID or paying cash with cash at the station.

The pilot phase of ADNOC SMART was inaugurated at Rabdan ‘smart’ service station in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company “ADNOC” and Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, as well as senior officials of the company, select guests and stakeholders.

The programme will run until October 1, with ADNOC officials hoping they will be able to extend it to its entire network of 340 service stations in the near future.
