Scheidt & Bachmann makes cloud-based solutions its core future business

Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH has announced its intentions of transferring its production of fuel dispensers to focus on innovative software solutions.

Last update:

A big part of the new strategy will be cloud-based systems that are hosted centrally from Mönchengladbach, the company´s headquarters.

Cooperation with the company Scheidt & Bachmann TUBS, with whom they recently completed an agreement on cooperation for fuel dispensers, will also be key to the new direction. Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH will pass the production and distribution of fuel dispensers by the end of 2016 to Scheidt & Bachmann TUBS in Croatia.

“We are excited to offer new innovative site system solutions with integrated services.  Our customers can substantially benefit from intelligent, cloud based systems,” says Jörg M. Heilingbrunner, Managing Director of Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH.

In order to ensure a smooth transition, Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH is accepting dispenser orders until September 30, 2016; while their Croatian counterpart will start marketing from July 1. Both locations will produce in parallel during the remaining time of 2016.

Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH will continue the manufacturing of the key components of the fuel dispenser as monoblocks, piston diameters and price-calculators with displays. Scheidt & Bachmann TUBS is bound by contract to build these central components in their petrol pumps. Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH is also the exclusive provider of spare parts for the upcoming years.

Last September, Scheidt & Bachmann revealed a major coup with ExxonMobil choosing the global technology provider  to replace all their point of sale systems for Esso´s fuel retailing network in Germany.
