Botswana: Vivo Energy sees rapid growth in Africa with $300m investment
Vivo Energy, Shell’s retail licensee in 16 countries in Africa, has committed to invest $300 million and has set an ambitious plan to further expand its fuel network in the continent, reported thevoicebw.com.
This was reaffirmed by Vivo Energy Botswana Depot Manager James Phagane during the launching of a new service station in Sowa Towa.
Phagane announced plans to upgrade petrol stations in the country and partner with the government and private sectors to extend the Shell network in rural areas.
Vivo Energy, he further said, wants to stimulate economic activity and promote entrepreneurship and citizen empowerment, which play an important role in the economic development.
