The first Pret a Manger gas station branch will be a 12 month trial with service station operator Welcome Break, where it will set up its own kitchen and serve its fresh, natural food and hot beverages.

Rod McKie, CEO of Welcome Break, is optimistic that the trial partnership will be successful and so is Pret a Manger CEO Clive Schlee who expects positive reception from highway customers.

Pret a Manger is planning to expand to other Welcome Break stations after the trial.
