Gulf Oil opens first fuel station in Southeast Asia

International fuelling company Gulf Oil has entered the Philippines with the opening of its first gas station, as it plans to have a 20-station network by next year.

Last week, Gulf Oil launched its first petroleum dealership in the Philippines in Abucay, Battan, with more sites soon to follow in the major cities of the country: Mindanao, Cagayan Valley and Metro Manila.

“Gulf Oil aims to put up at least 20 fuel stations for the remaining part of the year up to the end of 2017 to jump-start its retail network growth and is now looking for new partners to take the brand into new territories and new product markets,” the firm said in a statement cited by inquirer.net.

The new station in Abucay is not only the first one in the country, but it´s also the first in the Southeast Asia region.

Apart from the fuel pumps, the new location also has a Lube Express service station and a store that sells Gulf's line of oil and lubricant products.
