Verifone partners with ATIO Group to explore Mexican fuel market

Verifone and Mexican retail fuel technology provider ATIO Group announce partnership to provide integrated payments technology to Mexico’s petroleum retailers.

Last update:

The agreement combines ATIO Control Gas POS and Verifone Commander Site Controller to provide a certified solution for at-the-pump and in-store payment acceptance, fueling operations, and back office control.

Mexico is the sixth largest consumer of motor gasoline and diesel with more than 11,000 filling stations across the country, and its energy market deregulation allows foreign companies to import, own assets, and sell other fuel brands.

“Deregulation of the Mexican energy market presents a unique opportunity for retailers to provide new payment and commerce-enabling options to their customers,” said Pablo Gualdi, CEO, ATIO Group

Verifone and ATIO Group expect to begin deployment of the combined solution in early 2017.

“Our partnership with ATIO Group sets a new standard for the advanced and innovative solutions that are possible for local retailers,” said Dan Yienger, SVP and General Manager of Petroleum for Verifone.
