Libya: Tripoli fuel stations now fully equipped with CCTV, generators
All petrol stations in Tripoli are now equipped with CCTV cameras and power generators, reports Libya Herald.
The measure, according to the Fuel and Gas Emergency Committee, was put in place to address the impact of power cuts in the Libyan capital and tackle criminal activities that may take place in fuel stations.
The Fuel and Gas Emergency Committee was created by BREGA Petroleum Marketing Company to alleviate fuel and cooking gas shortages, which were caused by criminal and political activities post 2011 revolution.
BREGA, a subsidiary of state-owned National Oil Corporation, distributes oil products such as fuels, vehicle oils, and cooking gas.
