Nigeria: Petrocam opens third solar-power petrol station
Petrocam Nigeria, a subsidiary of Petrocam Trading (Pty) Limited of South Africa, has opened another solar-powered petrol station in the Nigerian capital of Lagos, reports This Day.
The new station in the Lekki area of Lagos was built by renewable energy firm Gennex Technologies.
The 112-kilowatt capacity solar power guarantees 24 hours of uninterrupted power supply to the station.
It was launched, together with the other solar-powered stations, to boost Petrocam Nigeria's efforts to penetrate the country's downstream sector.
Petrocam Nigeria mainly imports refined fuel products while its parent company Petrocam Trading engages in commodity trading and consulting in Africa.
