Scheidt & Bachmann receives PCI-DSS certification

Scheidt & Bachmann have again received certification for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The new certification related to the latest PCI DSS version 3.2 and contributes to the company’s enhanced security standards, according to the company.

Scheidt & Bachmann’s Data Centres in Mönchengladbach, Düsseldorf (Germany) and Boston (USA) meet the PCI DSS requirements. The certificate ensures that the company meets the strict security requirements of the credit card industry.

“As a leading manufacturer of fare collection systems in public transport, we are hosting more and more back office systems for our customers so PCI DSS is extremely important when offering the highest level of security and reliability,” says Dirk Holzwarth, Head of IT Service Management of Scheidt & Bachmann.

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a security standard used by the credit card industry. The standard meets the security requirements of all major credit card companies. Today, the standard is recognized around the world and aims to minimize fraud and ensure credit card data security.
