Jacob Schram named 2017 NACS Insight European Industry Leader of the Year

Alimentation Couche-Tard group president will accept the award at the NACS Insight Convenience Summit – Europe.

Last update:

Jacob Schram, group president of European operations at Alimentation Couche-Tard, has been named the 2017 NACS Insight European Industry Leader of the Year Award. The award, sponsored by Mondelez International, will be presented during the NACS Insight Convenience Summit–Europe in London on June 14.

“We both congratulate and thank Jacob and his team for the vision, passion and many contributions you have made to our industry,” commented Rick Brindle, Vice President of Industry Development at Mondelēz International.

Schram, formerly the CEO for Statoil Fuel & Retail, was appointed to his current position at Couche-Tard in June 2012.

The award has been given to him after leading a global rebranding campaign that saw many Couche-Tard convenience stores unite under a new Circle K image. The refreshed Circle K brand replacing existing Circle K, Statoil, Mac’s and Kangaroo Express branding on stores and service stations across Canada, the United States, Scandinavia and Central and Eastern Europe.

“This is a result of a collective team effort. Together we have managed to handle an extensive global rebranding process without losing our identity or our customers,” said Schram.

Schram will deliver a keynote address at the Convenience Summit-Europe.
