Nissan's "Infrastructure for All" expands to Michigan

Nissan has added two fast charging stations in Southern Michigan in line with the carmaker's "Infrastructure for All" initiative and in collaboration with EVgo, operator of the largest public fast-charge network in the United States, and GoSpace, a leading facilitator of EV charger placements.

The stations are located at USA 2 GO convenience stores in the towns of Novi and Howell, along the I-96 expressway, according to a company release.

To further make them accessible to all electric vehicles (EV) including Nissan's new LEAF set to be launched in September, the stations feature both CHAdeMO and Combined Charging System (CCS).

"Nissan is dedicated to building a convenient EV charging infrastructure across the U.S. While it's not a priority for everyone, we firmly believe a robust infrastructure is key to the growth of EVs," said JeSean Hopkins, senior manager, EV infrastructure strategy & business development, Nissan North America.
