English Español Cepsa buys 23 petrol stations in central Spain

Spain's second largest fuel retailer acquires 20 service stations in the Madrid region and three in the province of Toledo.

Last update:

Cepsa has announced the acquisition of 23 service stations, increasing its total number of gas stations to 1,541 in Spain, 142 in the region of Madrid and 35 in Toledo.

This is Cepsa´s second biggest purchase since 2012 when it acquired 60 service stations in the Canary Islands from Chevron.

“(With this acquisition) we achieve the goal of getting closer to our clients who now, in the Madrid region, have a Cepsa service station 10 minutes away from their homes,” says Santiago Ruiz, Director of Service Station Network for Cepsa.

Cepsa´s gas stations in the Madrid region service more than 1.7 million clients, who consume an average of 1,023 litres of fuel a year – 17% more than the average consumption in the rest of Spain.
