After announcing the deal last February, DCC has now completed the acquisition ExxonMobil’s gas station network in Norway for 2.43 billion Norwegian crowns ($293.38m), reports Reuters.

The Esso-branded fuel retailing network is Norway’s third largest, compromising 142 company-operated sites and with contracts to supply a further 108 dealer-owned stations.

"The acquisition of Esso Retail Norway is another material step for DCC in building its retail petrol station business in Europe,” said Tommy Breen, chief executive of DCC, at the time of the deal.

DCC now operates about 1,000 fuel stations in the UK, France, Sweden, Ireland, Denmark and Norway, while it supplies fuel to almost 2,000 dealer-owned sites.
