Elaflex relies on ZVA 25 stainless steel spout tip to increase lifetime of nozzle

Fuel dispensing equipment manufacturer Elaflex has changed the production of the spouts of ZVA 25 nozzles: stainless steel is now standard.

After a successful experience with the stainless steel spout tips with the ZVA Slimline 2 nozzles, from this month Elaflex will only produce the spouts of their HiFlo Nozzles ZVA 25 with stainless steel caps.

The company found that its current nozzle spouts made of aluminium alloys could deform with wear when subject to use and abuse. The damaging of this piece can affect the sensing port area and can increase the sensitivity of the shut off or cause fuel turbulence, according to Elaflex.

“Experience with ZVA Slimline 2 nozzles shows that the lifetime of stainless steel capped spouts is considerably increased,” writes the company.
