Future Proof Your Business With Retail's Best

“Electric vehicles and alternative fuels are a hot topic of conversation at the moment as they reshape our industry, creating new and exciting opportunities, but it’s a myth that AFVs (alternative fuel vehicles) are only of interest to forecourt operators,” says Moiz Vas, independent retailer and forecourt operator.

These advances in fuel will fundamentally change the world around us and will be the key subject of debate, alongside the future of food to go and innovations in in-store technology, at the next Retail’s Best Forecourt and Convenience Partners on 22 March 2018.

Retail’s Best, organised by Vas, is the only event that’s ‘by retailers, for retailers’ and for the last five years he has single-handedly been bringing together hundreds of the top operators and decision makers in convenience retailing and motor fuel to tackle questions such as these.

Explains Vas: “We are on the cusp of rapid charge for AFVs of around eight minutes – that’s a decent time to do a distress top-up shop in a c-store and pick up a coffee and pastry on route.  It will begin with the bigger operators, but it’s only a matter of time before it begins to penetrate across the wider sector.  As retailers and forecourt operators, we need to be ready to maximise these opportunities and this is what the next Retail’s Best is all about.  We’ll be discussing the technologies and trends that are hurtling towards us, sharing views and ideas and talking directly to the key suppliers, helping them to better understand our operational needs.”

The line-up of partners for next March are:

  • Bestway
  • Greenergy - a branded wholesaler of fuel to Esso dealerships
  • Henderson Technology
  • Philip Morris International

Other participating suppliers - sub partners and exhibitors - will be announced soon.

Philip Morris International is back for a second time and Bestway is back for a third, whilst for both Greenergy and Henderson Technology it’s their first time at Retail’s Best.

Explains Andrew Owens, Chief Executive, Greenergy: “Retail’s Best offers a unique forum to engage with new and existing customers, discuss developments in the road fuel market and explore opportunities for lowest-cost, most reliable fuel supply.”

Tom Houston, Director of Sales, Henderson Technology, adds: “We are excited to use this as the springboard to launch EDGEPoS, our unique EPoS solution that has been carefully developed using our own retail experiences and in conjunction with our local sales and maintenance partners, Aspen and P&C Services.”

The next instalment of Retail’s Best takes place on 22 March at Chateau Impney, Worcestershire.  Full details can be found at
