The funds will finance the operation and maintenance of 12 new hydrogen stations.

True Zero, considered as the largest hydrogen retailer in the United States, operates 18 retail hydrogen stations and is now developing 13 additional stations.

It was founded 4 years ago, thanks to grant funding from the state of California, and the South Coast and Bay Area Air Quality Management Districts, as well as private financing from Honda and Toyota.

It has sold over 260,000 kilograms of hydrogen during the past 18 months and powered nearly 18 million zero emission miles.

"This scale effect will provide an even better customer experience, and eventually a more competitive price at the pump so that more customers are encouraged to choose fuel cell electric vehicles over gasoline.  Mass adoption of zero emission vehicles is our ultimate goal," said Joel Ewanick, CEO of True Zero.
